AA#4046 Using Stay Interviews & Other Employee Engagement Tools to Support and Strengthen Strategic Planning

This academy will focus on staff engagement assessment tools that can be used to develop, evaluate, and improve district, school, and departmental strategic and organizational improvement plans.  Specific staff engagement tools that will be presented include employee stay interviews, staff surveys, and thought exchanges. 

Participants will complete pre-session assignments of reading an article regarding Staff Engagement Theory and reviewing ONE district, school, or departmental strategic plan that can be supported through the use of Employee Engagement tools.  A rationale for school leaders to focus on employee engagement will be presented, a deep dive into specific engagement tools with an emphasis on employee stay interviews, and explanation of examples of data collection and analysis methods useful in collecting both quantitative and qualitative employee engagement information will be provided.

The presenter will demonstrate the use of employee engagement tools, data collection and analysis methods, and aligning these strategies with a district’s strategic plan.  Academy outcomes include 1) Understand basic components of employee engagement theory; 2) Identify 3 types of employee engagement measurement tools and understand strengths and limitations of each; 3) Demonstrate knowledge regarding valid employee engagement data collection and analysis tools and strategies; 4) Create an employee engagement Stay Interview and data collection/analysis plan that supports the participants current strategic or improvement plan for his/her district, school, or department.

IASPA's Cancellation Policy:

All in-person registration (credit card, purchase order and send payment) cancellations must be made in writing & received no later than 7 days before event and will incur a $50.00 cancellation fee. 

Refunds are not granted for failure to attend, late arrival or early departure. IASPA is not responsible for state or district travel restrictions, medical or weather-related cancellations or for airfare, hotel or other costs associated with the conference if the registrant is unable to attend. Purchase orders are accepted as a courtesy and are considered a guarantee of payment. Any cancellation of a registration guaranteed with a purchase order will be subject to the same cancellation policy. I understand that by selecting “Send Payment” I agree to the above cancellation policy. 

No registration refunds will be issued for cancellation requests made after 7 days before any event

Membership, special events and meal tickets are non-refundable.
