Contribute to your leadership role for Illinois schools and speak with one voice

As a recognized state affiliate of the American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA), IASPA is an opportunity for all Illinois HR administrators to speak with one voice before the Illinois General Assembly and the Illinois Board of Education. By becoming a member of IASPA, you are contributing to the leadership of Illinois’ schools.

Membership is open to those professionals involved in school personnel, human resources, or other school/employee relations work. The membership year is July 1 through June 30; to view the current membership options, see the IASPA membership categories below.

All members will receive the weekly IASPA newsletter "IASPA This Week" and will have access to the Members Only section of the IASPA website. The Members Only section includes downloadable resources including webinars, HR-related documents including job descriptions and interview questions. IASPA members have access to a mentor and to the IASPA Member Forum.

Being an IASPA member will save you hundreds of dollars in reduced fees for Webinars, Job Fairs, posting positions on our Job Board and as well as reduced registration fees for Professional Development events including Administrator Academies, our HR Essentials Workshop, and the Annual Conference.

Membership Categories

Professional

($250/year)

For administrators whose responsibilities include K-12 education human resource administration or related tasks (e.g., Superintendents, Asst. Superintendents, Principals, Business Managers).

Professional members shall be entitled to participate in all activities of the Association including voting and holding elected office.

Affiliated Professional

($200/year)

K-12 Administrator whose primary responsibilities do not include K-12 educational human resources administration.  These professionals may supervise employees or plan a future in a human resources-related role.

Affiliated Professional members shall be eligible to participate in all activities of the Association, including committees, except voting and holding elected office.

*Membership year runs July 1 - June 30

Professional Associate

($150/year)

Professionals associated with employment in an educational environment or a supporting educational environment.  These are non-administrative employees with responsibility for some aspect of human resource functions.

These members shall be eligible to participate in all activities of the Association, including committee membership, except voting and holding elected office.

Retired

($25/year)

Any individual member retiring from the education profession, and not otherwise covered by another membership category, is eligible for retired membership. In order to be eligible for a Retiree Membership, you must have been a member of IASPA for at least one (1) year prior to retirement.

Retired members shall be entitled to participate in all activities of the Association, including committee membership, except voting and holding elected office.

Sapphire Level ($2,500 per year)
