Professional Development Events
IASPA offers many opportunities to increase your knowledge and improve your HR skills through professional development. Our professional development will empower you to discover new ideas, stay up-to-date on the latest research and implement new concepts in your office or district.
IASPA’s professional development events are affordable and convenient. We offer a variety of topics, prices, lengths and locations to fit your needs including Admininstrator Academies specifically designed for HR leaders. Whereas webinars and network meetings can be participated in from your desk, the annual conference provides an opportunity to explore multiple topics during the one and a half days.
Another powerful benefit of IASPA professional development is networking. You will meet countless other HR professionals in schools who have either gone through or are going through the same issues you are facing. Through these interactions, you will gain even more innovative ideas and build relationships for a lifetime.
Regional Network Meetings
There are several networks connecting HR staff and administrators throughout the state. If you would like to start a Regional Network in your area, please contact Laurie Campbell (firstname.lastname@example.org). She can assist you with getting started.
Professional Associate Network
IASPA's own Professional Associate Network meets quarterly and is designed to provide support for, allow collaboration with, and serve as a resource for fellow Human Resources colleagues. As a reminder, IASPA Professional Associate Members are non-administrative employees who are responsible for Human Resources functions. Whether you are new to Human Resources, new to Human Resources in education, or are a veteran in Human Resources, participation in the Professional Associate Network will assist you in building your support network, sharing information, learning new processes and procedures, and continuing to learn and grow.
IASPA has many active committees. Click here for a full list of the IASPA Committees along with contact information for the current chair.
