NEIASPA Regional HR Network Meeting

NEIASPA (Northeastern Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators) is a regional professional network for school human resources leaders serving districts across Lake County, North Cook County, and parts of McHenry County. The group meets regularly throughout the school year to collaborate, share resources, and discuss the evolving challenges of school personnel administration.

Each meeting combines networking, professional learning, and open discussion on timely HR topics affecting school districts. Members exchange practical strategies related to recruitment and retention, substitute staffing, employee relations, compliance issues, onboarding practices, evaluations, investigations, bargaining considerations, and emerging legal or legislative updates. The agenda also includes updates from state and national professional organizations such as IASPA and AASPA, along with opportunities to learn about upcoming professional development events.

A hallmark of NEIASPA is its collaborative roundtable format. Participants bring real-world questions and challenges from their districts and engage in thoughtful problem-solving with colleagues who understand the complexities of school HR work. This peer-to-peer exchange allows members to compare practices, share templates and tools, and gain insight from diverse district perspectives.

Ultimately, NEIASPA exists to strengthen the capacity of school HR leaders through connection, collaboration, and shared expertise—helping members better support their staff, students, and school communities.
